Paper Folding

Hi Crafter's

In the class this morning we made two cards with paper folded embellishments. ( well almost two cards we didn't get time to quite finish the second card)

The first was  paper folded Hearts. This card is an adaptation of a card a friend had made.

I searched the internet for instructions on how to fold the hearts and I found this You Tube tutorial
It is easy to follow.  To make these two hearts for my card,  I cut the paper to 7cm X 14cm for the large heart and 6cm X 12cm for the smaller one.
The Ladies didn't think they would remember all folds so I said I would put up the link to the tutorial I had found.

The second card has a folded paper bow
For me I think this is my favorite and I found this You Tube Tutorial to show you how, again it is easy to follow.
To make this bow I used a piece of square paper 15cm X 15cm.  After mounting the bow I put my sentiment on the bow.

Well that's all for this post. Thank you for stopping by and I will see you again soon with another creation.

Balloon in flight

Hi Crafter's

Just a quick little card
and my second card entry for Less is More Masking challenge. This one was so simple I just masked off the top and bottom of the card. Then I used torn paper as another mask for the sponged in hills and sky. I then over stamped with the balloon and the little birds.

Thank you for stopping by and I will see you again soon.

Pagan Moon Goddess

Hi Crafter's

Here is a little card I made for a customer. An unusual request.
But I said I would give it a go. I was asked to make a Pagan card depicting the Moon Goddess.

Not having anything in my stash remotely like it I had to set about making the embellishment. A perfect time to put my Pazzles Inspiration into action. In the software that comes with the machine I drew the elements that make up the shape I wanted. Then cut them out.

I cut the goddess out in pearlesent card and mounted it onto kraft card.

Thank you for stopping by and I will see you again soon with another card.

Steampunk...ish popup card

Hi Crafter's

Here is one for the men in our lives. I don't know why it is but we seem to struggle with men's cards for some reason. Well with all the steampunk being all the rage at the moment I think it has made things a bit easier.
I'm not overly keen on it myself so I have done a watered down version cos I like clean and simple cards. Full on Steampunk is to much for me.

Here is my card.....

The back ground paper is from the Kanban "Industriana A4 Paper Pad"

The image used is from this Marianne Design set Lord & Lady

Here is the inside of the card.
And the set of stamps used are from Kanban

I made the inside a popup. I worked this out on some scrap paper first before I made the card.
The cogs are stamped on to acetate with  black Stazon.

Well that's all for now. Thank you for stopping by and I will see you soon with another card.

And now for a versatile vase.

Hi Crafter's

Most weeks I go over to the Less is More blog to see what the challenge is for the week. I haven't joined it with a challenge for a long time now cos I either have not had the time or I just couldn't think of an idea to fit the theme.
Well this week it is masking. This just happens to be a favourite technique of mine. I'm not that good at it but I do enjoy having a go.

And here is my card......
I'm not very good at explaining how but I can tell you I have used a combination of masking and over stamping to create this card.
I hope you like it, as much as I have enjoyed, playing along with this weeks challenge.

The stamps used in this card are Clarity Stamps Small sprig, Versatile vase and Rose art.

Thank you for stopping by, see you again soon with another card.

Hello Blossom

Hi Crafter's

I hope you are all well.

OK for a good few months now I have been meaning to get around to having a play with the Split Tree stamps  by Clarity stamps ......and to day I did.... Yippee.... I know, I can hear you saying "calm down dear"  but I can't help it I just love these stamps.
Anyway the inspiration for this card has come from my walk to work in the mornings. On my way I pass a blossom tree and a couple of weeks or so ago I noticed it starting to bud, and now it's full with it's beautiful pink blossom flowers. It just brightens up my day....lovely.

The Split tree stamps and the sentiment stamp are from Clarity Stamps.
I stamped up the trees close together I then punched out some flowers with a tiny flower punch and then embossed them, I then used a brown marker to put the dot in the middle.

I know my little card doesn't do justice to the real blossom tree but I did enjoy making it all the same.

Well that's all for this post. Thank you for stopping by..... see you again soon.
