Walking not Crafting

Hi Crafter's

Do you know I can't remember a time when we have had so much rain day after day. The fields around us are  so water logged.
Yesterday  the sun was shining for a change, so we took our chance and went for our Sunday morning walk with our black Lab, Dan.
Mind you the dog was pestering us so we had to go any way. It's the same every Sunday. ( But when the weather is really bad the walk isn't so far.)

Our walk is the same most Sundays we walk about 6 miles, a nice couple of hours walking.

This is one of my favourite places in Shipley  Park I love it here. And it is even better when we have it all to our selves. The photo does not do justice to the area. I can tell you though it is so peaceful I never tire of it.

This is the view the other way.

And on our way to have our stop for a cuppa at Derby lodge tea rooms.

Sitting in the garden of the tea rooms having our coffee and looking at the view.

I've just noticed that non of the photos have me or my hubby in them, I think that's because they look so much better with out us in them.

This photo was taken in the fields near Smalley Dam on our way home. The path is so water logged the water came over my boots. Dan is enjoying having a paddle though.

We normally go over this stile to get home but as you can see the water is up to the top of Dan's front legs. So we didn't bother, we found a less wet way home instead.

I think we've had enough rain now, can we please have some dry weather so we can dry out a bit. Please Mr weather man just a few days of sunshine would be nice.

Well that's all for this post. I'll see you again soon.

Thanks for sharing your lovely walk. It really does look peaceful. If the rain doesn't stop soon we'll need to build an ark. Ali x
