Quilled scallop border.

Hi crafter's

I popped over to the Less is More site this afternoon to have a look to see what the challenge is for this week.
And the Challenge for this week is.......

As soon as I saw this sketch an idea popped into my head.
Now just lately I have got hooked on quilling........ I'm not sure if quilling would fit into the criteria of the Less is More but I had to make what I had in my head.

Here is my take on the sketch.
The stamps I used are from a Hobby Art wedding set. The scalloped border across the card is quilled. I first made the scallop with thin strips of  card then filled in with beehive quilling, giving the lacy look. Just above the heads of the wedding couple is an embossed line across the card, which you can only just see in the photo.

Here is a close up of the scallop

Well that's all  for this post. I hope you like it. Now pop along to  Less is More  and have a look at some even more creative creations.

Thank you for stopping by. I will see you again soon with another card soon.

This is awesome! I've had one go at quilling and found it quite fiddly, but this is so inspiring I may give it another go.

This is absolutely amazing! Love the quilling. Don't think I have the patience to do it though.

I love this wedding card. My son just got engaged and I may use this for inspiration, although I don't do quilling. Lovely!

Oh wow, what a beauty. I thought about a wedding theme too when I saw the sketch, but I needed a birthday card. You are the quilling queen - and must be very patient and nimble fingered! Have a happy and creative day, Jo x

FAB border, love the way the couple are standing on the top. Thank you for the tip on how to make a quilling comb, not see this effect before.
