It's Handmade Monday again. I missed last weeks, I completely forgot because I was getting the shop ready for a new stand that my husband had made to hold Clarity stamps. The new stand looks fab he made a wonderful job of it. Where would I be with out him.
Since the stamps have come in I have been busy making cards. I just couldn't wait to get my hands on them and start working with 'em.
If you scroll down you will see two other cards I have made using these stamps. They are a joy to use.
This is one of the first cards I made . I thought I would start off simple and get a feel for the stamps.
I want to make a mask so I stamp it again onto some copy paper. I then cut away the centre of the O in the copy paper version and place this over the stamping on the card lining up the O middle.
Now I can stamp another image into the letter O, here I have used " wild poppies"
With the mask still in place I sponged around the inside edges of the O to soften the look.
I then masked off the card top and bottom so that I could keep those parts clean and then sponged the areas top and bottom of the FLOWER.
Take away all the masking to reveal the almost finished card.
To finish I touched up the stems of the poppies, the letter O and the sponging across the card with a brown fine liner pen.
I also embossed a scalloped border top and bottom of the card but you can't see it very well in the photo.
Well that's what I've been up to for the past week , now I'm off to Wendy's blog at www.1stuniquegifts.co.uk/blog/ to see what others are up to.
That's all for now thank you for visiting. I will see you again soon.
