1.2.3..... and Cuttlebug

Hi crafters,

I have just been playing with the new Embossing Plus folders from Cuttlebug. The folder I have used in this card is Chic Circle, it cuts and embosses in one pass. The detail is just lovely.

I have saved the circles that have come out of these frames for another card.

Hope you like it, and thanks for dropping by. See you soon.

Tea Bag folding...... anyone ?

Hi Crafters,

Well, this is an oldie but goody. Pat will be proud of me.....
This is not something normally  I do. Tea baggin is not my thing at all. Pat, a crafting friend of mine is the lady for that kind of thing.

I don't think the photo I have taken of the card does it justice, it does look better in real life.

I was asked by one of my ladies in the Saturday class if they could do a card with teabag folding on it.
I don't know if there is a name for the fold but it was a bit complicated.
You need 8 tea bag papers for this card. I cut them from a sheet of scrapbook paper. I finished the middle with a button made my self.

Thanks for dropping by. See you again soon. :)

Two Oriental cards, Blog hop

Hi Crafters,

I have been meaning to show you a couple of cards now for a few days now. You know what it's like you tell your self to get something done but life keeps getting in the way.
Right on to the cards . These two oriental cards have been created by a very clever crafting friend of mine. I love them and I hope you do too.

Go along to Pat's Crafting Thoughts and you will see  more beautiful cards.

As cute as a button

Hi Crafters,

Just a quick post today, to show you a little card I made using the ''Just my Type''  Cuttlebug embossing folding folders.

The card is a DL sized card and the folders are not long enough to emboss the card so here is what I did.

Click on photos to get a closer look

Place embossing folder on the edge of card and embboss.

I then turned the card around and placed the embossing folder at the bottom of the card which is now at the top. Mach up the last button. Don't worry about the ugly line at the side of the buttons I will show you how to get rid of that later.

Place clear plate as shown in pic. you don't want to cover the last button. Doing it this way will help eliminate an ugly line and also will stop flattening the half covered button..

Emboss a line down the side of the bottons

I then did the same on the other side of the card.

I then embellished my card with a big button to finish

I hope you understood my description. And thank you for dropping by, see you soon.

Just for you.

Hi Crafters,
This is a quick post tonight. I just love making my own embellishments and in my last post I showed you a poppy. Here it is again.

I made this card for my lovely Auntie Joan.

I made the poppy this time in a dusky pink Bazzle Basic paper.
I used a Marther Stewart border punch,
A clear gem brad coloured with a black permanent marker,
The card was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

A Special Day Poppy.

Hi Crafters,

I really can't believe this weather we are having, it is so hot here today I am loving it. It is about time we had a decent summer.

Any way on to today's card. I don't normally do challenges but I thought I would have a go at this one for fun. Its a good excuse to make a card :-0 lol

I have entered the Splitcoast stampers Clean and Simple challenge. You had to take your inspiration from a cake. Here is my card.

I have had the idea for the Poppy for a while in my head but hadn't got around to making it. So when I saw this cake I knew what I was going to do.

For the card I used Red Bazzle paper,
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder,
Sentiment stamp from Trimecraft set of clear stamps,
White card stock for the base card.

If you would like a tutorial for this poppy leave me a comment. If there is enough of you I will make a tutorial for it.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Sorry I'm Late

Hi Crafters,

The weather here is just beautiful again. I hope it is where you are too.

Here is a little card I made just for fun and just in-case. I got the inspiration for this card from another card I saw on one of the many blogs I visit but for the life of me I can't find it again, so I can't link to it. I will though if I do find it again.

I Found it...... Here is the inspiration for my card at  MerryMade Cards and Crafts   as Soon as I saw this card I knew what I wanted to do.

 For this card I used
Cuttlebug D'vine Swirl, Swiss Dots embossing folders.
Cuttlebug Build-a-Flower for the body of the snail and the flower.
Nestabilities standard circles small.
The sentiment was computer generated.
Making Memories Double sided papers and white card stock for the card and flower. Green pearl card from stash

It was a fun little card to make. Thank you Merry for the inspiration.

Thanks for visiting.
