A Special Day Poppy.

Hi Crafters,

I really can't believe this weather we are having, it is so hot here today I am loving it. It is about time we had a decent summer.

Any way on to today's card. I don't normally do challenges but I thought I would have a go at this one for fun. Its a good excuse to make a card :-0 lol

I have entered the Splitcoast stampers Clean and Simple challenge. You had to take your inspiration from a cake. Here is my card.

I have had the idea for the Poppy for a while in my head but hadn't got around to making it. So when I saw this cake I knew what I was going to do.

For the card I used Red Bazzle paper,
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder,
Sentiment stamp from Trimecraft set of clear stamps,
White card stock for the base card.

If you would like a tutorial for this poppy leave me a comment. If there is enough of you I will make a tutorial for it.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Thanks Sue! Can you also tell me how you used the embossing folder so it left the embossed image only in the middle of the card? Thanks!

Hi Vicky,
I just Embossed a piece of card and stuck it to the card, I then embossed a line either side of it on a score board. :)
