Men's Cards for a change....

Hi Crafters,

Sorry for the absence from the blog, I have been on holiday. My hubbie and I went to Charnmouth for a week. I have some lovely photo's. I will show them later.

Anyway to today's post.
A lot of us have trouble with cards for our men folk, myself  included. So I have set about making cards just for men. I always find them so difficult to make.

This is the first card I made. A card for the rugby player in your life.

I cut the rugby ball with oval nestablities and embossed it with the cuttlebug mosaic embossing folder. I then wiped over it with clear versamark pad. I then coverd that with clear embossing powder and set with a heat gun. to give it that leather look.

A simple looking card and simple to make.

This next card again for the rugby player in your life. Was inspired by a card I saw on a blog somewhere ( I can't remember which one ). The card I saw was a basket ball .
for this card I embossed a piece of kraft card with the same Cuttlebug folder as the first card and again I used clear embossing powder to achieve the leather look. Add a bit of ribbon for the laces.

Another simple to make card.

This next card is for the footballer.

for this card I made my own template for the ball to make the shaped card. I then cut the hexagon shapes in white card .
I used a digi stamp from DigiStamp Boutique
coloured with  ZIG Kurecolor marker pens.

Before I mounted the image I sponged black stamp pad ink around edge of the ball.

These three cards are the first in a series of cards for our menfolk. I hope I have given you some ideas.

I love your work Sue,and was instantly attracted to your blog because you have a Pazzles. I've had one for years and I'm very happy with it, it would be very hard for me to produce a decent card without it now. Isee you made some stencils, could you tell me where you got the materialfrom? I went to the Pazzles shop but the postage is 46 dollars so that is a big no-no.The lady I bought my machine from does not stock it so any help would be appreciated. thanks

Hi Claire,
The stencil material I have been using is Cricut Cuttables Adhesive-backed Stencil Material. It cuts on the Pazzles well. I have this in my shop for sale for £11.99. E-mail me at thepinkshopblog@ymail.com
